Who I Am
Hi, I’m Annik—a 16-year-old home baker from Victoria, BC, with a big love for creating sweet things.
For me, baking is more than mixing flour, butter, and sugar. It’s how I show people I care. Some people express love through words or gifts; I express it through warm cookies, beautifully decorated cakes, and the comforting smell of something delicious baking in the oven.
How I Bake
Everything is made in small batches at home. No shortcuts, no huge machines, no “good enough.” Real ingredients I’d serve to my own family. Doughs that get the time they need to rest and rise. Flavors that are simple, but done really well. I care about the details: the crack on top of a cookie, the crumb of a cake, the way a frosting holds its shape. If it wouldn’t make me proud to hand it to someone I love, it doesn’t leave my kitchen.
Why I Bake
What began as a way to treat my family soon grew into something more. Friends started asking for another batch, then neighbours began placing orders, and before long, I was baking for people I had never even met.
That’s how Annik’s Bakery was born—one homemade treat at a time, right here in my family’s kitchen.
